Once again Chastain Park in Atlanta, Georgia, has been voted the best outdoor venue for concerts, continuing a tradition that has lasted in this city for the past forty years. Located near the northern edge of the city, this is Atlanta's largest park spanning 286 acres. Although music is what put it on the map because of the large outdoor amphitheatre, it holds a wealth of activities for patrons all through the year. It is one place in the city where you can escape the hustle and bustle and savor the enjoyment of rest and relaxation.

Walking trails abound Chastain Park. Walk around the fringes of the golf course, part of which is a sidewalk and there are six specific points of interest along the trail. However you do not have to walk the trails to see these sites as they are accessible from any point in the park. Whether you are a walker, a runner or a cyclist, you can get your daily outdoor activity amidst spectacular scenery and greenery that will soothe your inner soul.

Chastain Horse Park is one of the premier destination in Atlanta for equestrian events. Host your next event in the Club House or the Garden Room from which you can overlook the 13 acres of this facility. There is a fall horse show and a fall dog show as well as summer camps for those who wish to learn to ride. The Horse Park is also a nationally accredited therapeutic center where adults and children with disabilities can enjoy riding lessons, with or without the assistance of an occupational therapist. There are four large barns housing the horses, a large covered arena and the whole area of the horse park is fenced.

Enjoy a great game of tennis at the Tennis Center in this park. This is the smallest of the tennis parks in Atlanta but it has a full range of facilities for the users and is the second busiest in the city. Along with a sales area for equipment, there are lockers, restrooms and a small concession area. This facility is open daily throughout the year. It is open until 9 p.m. Monday to Friday and until 6 p.m. on weekends.

The Chastian Arts Center offers diverse visual and cultural events for children and adults throughout the year. It was the first community arts center in the area when it first came into existence in 1968. It offers Art Camps for children during the summer and twice a year it showcases the works of the instructors and students. There are also exhibits at various times of the year of local and regional artists.
