True love: Job of the heart or job of the mind?

When the heart and mind join in the soul's rejoicing, we can be sure it's true love. True love, soul mates, exist and are worth waiting for.

Sometimes we love someone, but don't like them. This can be seen often in family relationships. This is because our heart has gone out to embrace someone, however, there may be an unuttered dislike or mistrust of a particular aspect of this person's personality. If we were to enter into an intimate relationship with a partner of this category, we may be in for a roller coaster ride. Without fully liking and trusting our partner, true love will not be able to flourish.

Sometimes we may admire, respect, and even like someone, but the real spark may just not exist. This can happen often in the workplace and be seen in strong friendships. This type of relationship actually has more long term potential because it is founded on firm and solid ground. The spark may just need time to fully ignite.

When we find someone that we admire, respect, like, and trust, and they feel the same for us, there is magic, indeed! This is the music of our soul's rejoicing and we both know the song. It outshines all other past relationships. True love does not hurt, but rather, heals. Deep down, every one of us knows it's worth the search!
