There is an overwhelming amount of family fun to be had in Los Angeles. As a resident of Los Angeles I can provide you with the best places at affordable prices to have all the family fun you want.
~ The Los Angeles Zoo ~
If you're an animal lover then the zoo is for you! The zoo is open every day except Christmas from 10-5. The price of an adult ticket is $12.00,child (12 and under) $7.00, seniors $9.00 and children 2 and under are free and so is the parking.
The zoo is home to several hundred animals from amphibians to reptiles. Visit the animals and learn all about them. If you like flowers then your in luck the Botanical gardens has several hundred plant species some that have been around as long as the time of the dinosaurs.
~ Hollywood Blvd. ~
This is a must visit for all who make the trip to California it's the home to the stars. Here you will find all of the stars, star! Dozens of shops, eateries, museums; Ripley's Believe it or Not, The Hollywood Wax Museum and several others.
You can catch the limo to the stars home tour here as well. This activity is a little more expensive but well worth every penny. The first time I took this tour Jessica Simpson was standing on her front porch as we slowly crept by all peering out the windows, she was nice enough to wave before she fled back in to her mansion. Ozzy Osborne was another person who made himself seen as we cruised by I think he waved but it may have been the "bird style wave" if you know what I mean!
Is another great place to spend the day. Tickets are $59 a person the park is open 365 days a year and there is plenty of fun to be had by all the members of the family.
This is a wonderful place for ocean lovers. After spending the day sunbathing, surfing or just playing in the waves you can spend the evening on the world famous pier, riding the amusement park rides, shopping and eating. Many times movies or TV shows are being filmed here so you never know who you may see so don't forget your camera!
~ Whale Watching ~
Newport beach offers year round whale and dolphin watching for $25 a person. This is actually located in orange county but it's still worth the extra few miles to see the largest animal alive on earth the blue whale (up to 80 feet long) in person! Especially during their migration period hundreds of them swimming along the coastline. It's a site to see!
Los Angeles has so much to do it's impossible to list it all. The following website may give you a better idea of what's available according to your interests. I can guarantee you will have a lot of family fun in Los Angeles, the City of Angeles aims to please regardless of where your family finds it's self seeking it's next adventure.
