Whimsical cartoon charachter pictures of a dog chasing a cat around the back seat of car while a driver trys to drive and hold it together. Another picture down you see the car swerving into oncoming traffic narrowly missing a head on collision as the cat wraps itself around the drivers head with its hair standing on end while the dog is barking ferociously. And once the car comes to a stop the cat and dog jump out the window and are the best of friend.
It may not sound like your trip with pets, but traveling with pets can be an interesting endeavor to say the least. Here are a few tips for traveling with Precious Princess and Fido. Make sure you discuss any trips with the vet and that your vaccines are up to date. You will need to obtain a certificate of health from your vet to go out of state and pack all the medical records.
Now that you have a clean bill of health you need to decide where to go. For your researching pleasure I have provided the names of 4 websites that give some information and tips on traveling with pets and places that are pet friendly. www.travelpet.com , www.pettravel.com , www.petsonthego.com or petswelcome.com .
You can also network with other pet owners to find vacation hot spots that really rock. Experience is the best teacher so have fun. When you do decide on that dream destination don't forget to make advance arrangements for everyplace that you would like to frequent whil you are away. And ask about the hidden fees. Airlines have them and so do hotels.
Okay so now you are ready to go. What to pack/ Don't forget meds, any special toys, blankets, food, water bottles and last but not least a picture of your pet just in casde the unthinkable occurs. Princess might just want to see the countryside on her own recognizance.
Once the research and packing is done the trip will be ready to begin. A trip you can enjoy with your loyal pal at your side.
