It begins by tickling your senses
then it makes you feel.
At first its the tiniest of sparks
almost always when you hear their name
then it grows to a yearning to be near them,
even for just a moment;
then love hesitates.
Something happens and you're alone.
Need arises and yearning gets lost
somewhere between reality and dreams,
in that perfect space of time.
You crave what is no longer there,
feel as though your world isn't complete;
how can it be?
Then all is calm.
The sky is blue and the birds speak,
the sun rises over the horizon
and all seems right with the world.
You suddenly realize that while you still yearn,
still crave,
still need and love,
your world is not lost because they aren't in it.
Yes.
Love may have hesitated,
but it never truly dies.
