I
Sitting in this vacant loft for hours
Young handsome poet writes an ode
For his dead symbolist brothers
A glass full of colorless rhymes
Not a soul to share or be told
He yonders
Another day
He ponders
Utterly cold and dismay.
II
Handsome poet, full reddish lips
Ebony hair and florescent eyes awakes
Decides to shower today, not a complaint or a hiss
His rituals of sonorous recitations and a yelp of pleasurable aches
Today seems like a day of responsibilities
Ready to see the world again
There lies infinite possibilities
III
He rushes the cold streets, remembering what he left behind
Languidly he takes slow paces, refusing to rush
Remind
Me
Why
I
Did
This
Again
?
IV
A courteous gaunt woman walks in
A natural square of beauty and intelligence
Remember those rhymes?
She reminds him of simple relevance
Remember the times?
Those odes of symbolist poets have bestowed other eyes
A delicate smile and stare
A glass of wine and infinite stories to share.

The horizon is lost now
To a black future.

Zero bank account, empty purse,
House once full, now silent, hollow.
Man gone out, feet first,
