"What is all the screaming about? If the chocolate cake was not meant for me to eat then why was it left on the table?" Scooterbooger just lays on the couch and watches the tirade with his shifting eyes. Secretly, she knows she will get in trouble NOW, but it seemed like a grand idea at the time. "Besides, this little tirade is a curious thing from the couch!"
Dogs think on a very situational basis. They know when an action is wrong as long as someone is watching. When no one is around they apparently have a different thought process. "Do I really want to do this if I am going to get in trouble right NOW?"
Try spying on your adorable canine sometime. The use of a security camera or a strategically placed camcorder while you step out for a short walk or drive may reveal some very crazy antics. The mysterious things that happen while you are away but are never done while you are at home are suddenly no longer mysterious. Jingleface may not tromp around the house with your underpants when you are home because he knows you will not approve. When your back is turned Jingleface has all new insight! "Mom thinks I can't open this hamper and I really want something dirty to play with. Hmm, here it is!" The moment he hears the door open those pants could get shoved anywhere. As photographic proof would show, Jingleface doesn't even consider consequences for a split second until it is about to hit the fan.
A dog's momentary thought process can result in the most ridiculous occurrences in the home or yard. All they think about is playing, sleeping, eating, pooping and pleasing you. If you are not a part of the immediate picture, everything else will still happen!
