READING PEOPLE
"Knowledge has three degrees-opinion, science, illumination. The means or instrument of the first is sense; of the second, dialectic; of the third, intuition." -PLOTINUS.
"The only real valuable thing is intuition. -Albert Einstein
"Intuition is the clear conception of the whole at once. -Johann Kaspar Lavater
Intuition is real. It is a part of being human. Some are more intuitive than others. Intuition is not some hocus-pocus side show. In fact, one is much better off to keep intuitive information gathered, to oneself.
Some people are very afraid of this type of intelligence. They're afraid one might know more about them than is right or fair. They also think it means the intuitive person has some sort of hocus-pocus evil power.
Knowing is a part of being human. Nothing wrong with it. In fact it enhances life.
When I am aware of the future, it is much like being aware of the past. Though I can much better prepare for the future. That kind of knowing is very human. It isn't magic.
Some people know those who will hold their right hand and search the palm for information. It's called a palm reading. Then there are others who read cards or invoke the advice of the dead. While the people who do such things for others might be intuitive, I cannot say whether they are worth being paid. I don't know.
I don't read people's palms and I don't read cards. Nor do I engage in such activity.
Intuition is the act of knowing, without rational processes. In other words without the audible ear or without the nose's smell or without the touch of mass or seeing with your own two eyes. It is an immediate knowing and it can be asked by its possessor to assist. But one must focus intensely on the matter of which one needs more information.
Many people are taught not to trust their intuition and they end up having terrible problems in life and they many times end up trusting people who are abusive. This is the most terrible damage that abusive parents do to their children. They teach them that they cannot trust themselves. Thereby making the child's self its own enemy.
I think it is highly appropriate for people to embrace their intuitive self. I think it is conducive to sanity and happiness. So is keeping one's mouth shut. I do not believe in a cohesive, one hundred percent agreeable society based on empirical experience.
