Conditional love,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
For what its worth,
You said you'd love me
For better, not worse.
The yelling with screams,
The nights heated,
The love I felt,
No longer needed.
Pain and tears
Consume my mind,
A marriage to hold me,
Our love to bind.
Love should be
Unconditional and true,
But you decided
That you're through.
You scream and push,
I start to walk,
Apologies start,
I let you talk.
You blame me
For the way you feel,
I see it now,
Your love wasn't real.
Conditional love,
For what its worth,
You said you'd love me
For better, not worse.

Poetry: Lost love
by Olu Burrell
I think about you when I'm looking ahead
And also in moments of reminiscence
But do me a favor and don't ask me
To tell you
The man in the jacket, walking through snow,
His faithful friend, always in tow,
Forever smiling, happy look on his face,
Whatever
So there we were
Looking up at the sky,
Together.
Truly thought
That you and I
Could storm
Any kind of weather.
I still
Do not wait for me with bated breath,
because my heart dances to and fro.
Its chambers are hollowed and empty
it longs for
As a bird perched on the edge of its nest
eyes searching the unknown world outside
strengthening its wings, yearning to fly
