Short stories: The dump

A few more days passed and finally, Janet Williams could no longer stand the stench from the rotting corpse. She'd have to shift it!

It had been almost two weeks since she'd flipped and had brutally murdered the man she'd once hoped would be her lover until the end of time. Now, Michael's dismembered remains lay hidden under the knotty pine floorboards of their small cottage on the outskirts of town.

But where could she put them?

Janet was rotund. She weighed nearly 20 Stone, had bleached blonde hair and stood almost six feet tall. She'd always been cursed with a weight problem and this in turn had kept suitors well away, leaving her feeling ugly, lonely, and almost turning her into an introvert.

Then, he stepped into her life.

Michael was the most handsome man she had ever seen. A man with the most compassionate charm, sexiest brown eyes, and a body so perfectly sculpted that most women wanted him. At first she'd refused to accept that a stud such as he could see anything attractive about an old hippo like her, but his perseverance eventually paid off and she surrendered herself fully to him on that first Halloween.

Michael's sensual and powerful love making awakened a wild stranger within her that night. Her every desire had been fulfilled and from that time forward, her social and sex life had been completely transformed. He had been too good to be true. Michael had always said that he'd fallen in love with her the moment he looked into her beautiful blue eyes, but now she knew that the bastard had lied and that their relationship had had nothing whatsoever to do with love!

As the months had passed, he'd slowly turned into a violent, sexual monster and if Janet hadn't discovered the sick movies that he'd been secretly making, she could easily have fallen pray to one of his perverted plots, or perhaps have continued to indulge in his warped games out of fear.

One thing was certain... She knew she would never again find one such as he - a man who made her the envy of other women.

If only they knew.

Now, her "God's Gift" was decomposing beneath her and stinking more than the Dump where he had worked as a bulldozer driver, burying every kind of crap but his own.

Then it hit her! That's where she would put him. In the Dump with all the other garbage.

She managed a grin, thinking about the bullshit stories he used to tell about the Dump. Like how he'd seen zombies sifting through the rubbish; rats the size of dogs; and devil gulls that would peck your eyes out if you ventured
