A flower.
A sweet, red rose.
What a transformation
Through which it goes.
On their slim throats
With hue of passion
Stands silent grace...
Like elegant fashion.
The night shades and reshades
Come day, and then the go.
Their beauty slowly fades
They hang their heads...
As if they know.
They wilt and weep like lovers lost
Who'll risk and leap at any cost-
And the shell of what they used to be
Holds such...
