The innards of Women
By firesides, sipping pink
champagne, on beaches
in apartments, after
midnight I have searched
beyond your eyes
your greens, browns, and
your blues.
Your first stop
is the shoestore
your next is for th dress
Iknow why you eat chocolate
and how you get nervous
when you're naked
before a man
I know how strong you are
when you're pushed too far
and how you beleived
when you loved, and destroyed
when you left
I've seen you faithful
and work hard for your love
and I've opened my back
door for you, when your man
was home asleep
You had a hole
in your soul
after one night stands
and your smile was brilliant
when you saw that on man
I've seen you climax
in thirty seconds flat
and how ntense it is
when we make it last.
I saw you give birth
hold your pride in your arms
and I've seen you suffer
with no help for your child.
We've had our fights
and our share of tough times.
But I still love through to
your body, soul and mind.
