We human beings are thinking beings. We are continually thinking our next experience into reality.
We have over 90,000 thoughts a day, each and every day. The problem with this is that most of these we are not even aware of.
Our thought process is more often than not habited and unconscious thought. These thoughts are generally the result of parents telling us how things are and our adopting them for ourself. They become habit when thought and acted on over and over again.
When we first begin having a thought it moves from place to place in our electrical wiring in our brains, finally making contact and setting itself down. The more we think and connect our thoughts to the same feelings and outcomes, the more deeply connected the thought becomes in our brain.
This is why it is so hard to change the way you think. You are wired to think a certain way. In order to shift your thinking to a more positive style takes practice, practice, practice.
Thought patterns are similar to addictions in how we are wired. By doing, thinking the same thing, the same way over and over we actually connect thought to feeling, which results in action and experience.
It's very popular today to use positive affirmations to bring about a more positive life experience. Yet, with all the information available today many people get frustrated and give in, give up and go back to the habited way of thinking and thus creating their lives.
Change is possible if you are willing to take consistent steps to reprogram your inner wiring.
By realizing that thoughts give way to expectations which give way to physical experiences, you begin connecting the dots and gain insight into what's been going on.
By changing the thought process you are shifting the outcome of the thought-feeling-experience cycle.
The use of affirmations is very helpful when used on a daily basis. It becomes even more helpful when you do a little digging and discover what your major thoughts about life are and where they came from.
Making yourself a list of questions and answers on life subjects reveals a lot about how you are wired. Answer these questions.
