Look at us, how we live
what we do, where we go
we share and fight,
bring laughter and deep tears
into a velvet night.
And we take with us each a piece
of everyone we meet
for good or ill, we touch
for bitter, or for sweet.
We share or not as is our will,
and wonder how the other lives
and find more questions in each day
than our questing gives.
And each of us, we wish for peace,
Yearning in our dreams
to right the crooked path we see
to heal the shattered seams
that war's intolerance has left-
and nothing's like it seems.
Take tiny steps to med the hurt,
and answer if you dare
the wailing Earth needs all our will-
to choose, to love, to care.
