There are plenty of things to do in Atlanta during the fall season. The hard part is separating the things you can do all year round, from the activities specifically geared towards just the fall season. The follwoing is a list of activities you can enjoy during the fall months while in Atlanta.
FALL IN PIEDMONT PARK
The fall season is a perfect time to visit Piedmont park if you love the sight of the colorful leaves blowing gently in the still somewhat warm breeze.
It's a great place for a romantic picnic for two or a large family outing. You can spend the afternoon playing Frisbee with kids or even your four legged companion this park is dog friendly and seems to be a very popular place for the local dog owners to bring their dogs to play and exercise.
When was the last time you flew a kite? Piedmont Park is the perfect location, your kite will soar high in the sky with the nice daily breeze and add a special splash of color to the already fall colored environment.
Do you enjoy roller blading, running or walking? They have great paved paths for you to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities.
SPIRALWEEN ~ Halloween at Piedmont park ~
Whether you're a local or a visitor this years Halloween bash is being help at Piedmont Park. It doesn't get any more fall like when you combine the changing colors of the leaves and Halloween! Enjoy a night of partying with live music, DJ's, over 20 bars and of course be sure to enter the $1500 prize, costume contest! This is an adult only event. Tickets are available online or at the gate. This party promises a ghoulish good time for all who attend.
OKTOBERFEST
Oktoberfest isn't just for those of German decent, a grand time can be had by all. Eat, drink and be merry! This event is child friendly with corn mazes and special activities just for the younger crowd. Be sure to get there early!
ATLANTA HORRORFEST
Every town across America has a "Horrorfest" for the better part of the month of October. One of the best festivals of this nature is located at the "Masquerade Music Complex" on North Avenue. This is a free event and features live music, food, movies, special events, contests and of course zombies!
Atlanta Underground located in the heart of Atlanta also has its very own "Horrorfest" this one is more family friendly and includes, corn mazes, pumpkin carving, several activities for the children and family.
