A Love That Lives Forever...
'Twas only just a while ago...
So many times in your eyes, I've seen
The reflection of the sweetest love
As bright as could have been.
The happiness that sparkled...
The depth so very clear,
Rising from your heart of hearts
As you gently held me near.
The rhythm of its beating,
The melody so true,
Made the task so simple
To be in love with you.
A love that lives forever,
One that never dies,
One I'll treasure always
As I've come to realize...
I cannot just let go of it
Or ever let it fade
Because of how it made me feel and
The impression that it made.
You changed my life by loving me
And though you couldn't stay,
The gift of having you to love
Is what gets me through each day.
You may have gone to Heaven
But part of you was left behind
And it's nestled safely and secure
Deep inside this heart of mine!

You can try to push it from your mind
You can mask it with excuses and tears
But try as you
