What Americans want in a presidential candidate

The America I live in wants a presidential candidate who is in touch with their experience and can lead them safely into the future. A future full of hope and progresss, not fear, war and greed.

My "real life" this past week or so has been deeply affected by the US Presidential election... and what it means to me, as an American. At the age of 40, I am voting for the first time because I finally see how important that is to the future of this country, the United States of America.

Throughout the course of this election, I have seen a very frightening reality emerging. The words and actions of people who are actually be considered as leaders of this country have shocked and appallsed me and made me afraid for the future of the USA.

I am seeing "A Tale of Two Americas".

The America I live in includes all races, all religions, all sexual persuasions. It includes people who work minimum wage jobs which gross $15,000 per year. No, I did not MISS a zero. THIS is the America Barack Obama recognizes, is a part of, and please God will be the next leader of!

McCain's America is all white, all Christian, and all earn $250,000 per year or more. McCain has no concept of what the life of an average American is like, and would do nothing to improve it. This kind of "leadership" can only drag our country backwards!

To me, there is no choice. Anyone who believes in what this country was created for needs to vote Obama. The USA was created for Freedom of Religion, freedom FROM persecution. Slavery was abolished by the great leaders of this nation in 1865. Let's not bring it back.

Did you know that only 4 countries in the world support John McCain as a world leader? Those countries are Iraq, Cuba, Namibia and, I believe, the Sudan. Not exactly great places to be popular, Senator McCain. These countries represent everything America should be trying to avoid- terrorism, oppression, war.

If the USA wants to remain a leading nation on the world stage, we need Obama as President as he is the only one who can see things from a multi-cultural, multi-racial stand point. He is the only candidate who has the respect of the rest of the world.

This is clear cut. No ifs, and, or buts.

If you are concerned about the future of the USA as a world power, do what's right for your country. Stand up for freedom, tolerance, and the future. Assure that your children are free from persecution because of their religion or race.
