Just seeing the massive volume of Stone Mountain is worth the visit, and the famous Laser Shows are truly awesome but that's not all. There are more things to do with children at Stone Mountain Park than you can do in one day. Actually, there's so much to see and do, you'll need the whole weekend to complete the following list.

RIDES AT STONE MOUNTAIN PARK

*Summit Skyride

It may only last for three minutes but it's Stone Mountain's top attraction. Get an up close, stunning view of the Confederate Memorial Carving as you travel to the top of the mountain. Once there, you can see for 60 miles and take in the amazing view of Atlanta's skyline, the Appalachian Mountains and much more.

*Paddlewheel Riverboat

Get a new perspective on Stone Mountain as you cruise the Stone Mountain Lake on the Scarlett O'Hara paddlewheel riverboat. Experience this old mode of water travel on a twenty-minute cruise.

*Scenic Railroad

Children love the five-mile train ride around the base of Stone Mountain on an open-air car, pulled by a full size 1940 locomotive. Enjoy the sing-a-longs, train-theme music and narration of Stone Mountain's train history and fun facts about the mountain, as you view the mountain and surrounding landscape.

*Pedal Boats And Canoes

Take a 30-minute cruise on Stone Mountain Lake, powered by you, as you pedal in your own Pedal Boat or paddle a canoe. Great exercise, while you're having fun!

*Ride The Ducks

Learn about Stone Mountain Park's history as you go from land to water to land again in a 1940's era Army DUKWs, which has been converted into an open-air vehicle. Trained captains narrate the trip with interesting facts, funny stories, music and more,

SHOWS AT STONE MOUNTAIN PARK

*Laser Show

Stone Mountain Park's signature event is the Laser Show. A combination of colorful lasers on the side of the mountain, choreographed with your favorite music and fireworks, the 40-minute program totally immerses you in an experience you'll never forget.

*At The Farmyard

Who knew farm animals were so much fun? Young children delight in watching the trained animals strut their stuff in a thirty-minute show. Then let the kids get up close and pet the animals for more fun.

PLACES TO VISIT

*Antebellum Plantation

Take a self-guided tour of buildings from 1783 to 1875, moved here from all over Georgia. Each is complete with authentic period furniture and decorations. Take in the sights and smells as you wander through a working cookhouse and garden. Learn from the demonstrators, how people raised,
