Poetry: On love

by Jose Lopez

Created on: October 31, 2008

Herbert Lamache walks, slumped with an unearned desire to speak, something he has dismissed for some months. Walking, the rain slowly rolling down his oval nose, his coarse nostril hairs slightly frolicking as he breathes and whimpers a shy glimpse of despair. One would think that such a young man of his stature would have many acquaintances but he, a man of total ambition just walks, a lonely step on a lonely night.

Lamache turns round and notices a gorgeous woman of inevitable beauty; unwillingly his feet begin to teleport him to this beauteous woman. Unaware of his charismatic charm, he asks this young beauty a question filled with innocence and quickly swifts away into a corner of solitude.

This woman, gaunt and frail, a woman of great angelic presence walks into Lamache's loathing corner of despair and converses with the wild man for hours. Pensively awaiting for her next syllables, anticipating her next thought, Lamache smiles of contempt and smitten by her curiosity wishes a new friend into his life.
