I have lived so many different lives
it seems it hard to choose
which one I want to live
and walk in their shoes
Would I fit the role of Scarlett?
Or her best friend, Mellie?
Would I choose Forever Amber
Jo, Amy, Beth or Meg?
Shouldn't even think about
the blessed Virgin Mary
Naomi, Ruth?
There I go again
getting fiction mixed with truth
Could I, would I be Nurse Ratched?
or the famous Jackie O?
people wonder why I'm loony
with multiple personalities
I've been reading, reading, reading
thinking I am every one of these
characters I have mentioned
putting on some different looks
do you think that I should tell them
that I read them in some books?

They sing to me
Sad songs,
