Poetry: Our unspoken language

by L D Redmond

Created on: October 31, 2008

What's Our language of Love?

It's in the way your eyes pass over me

from a distance,

the way they consume me,

flood me,

the way they narrow in passion.

It's in the way you touch me

how your fingers caress me,

softly, slowly

it's the way tenderness emits,

like divine light entrapped.

I am in your possession.

No words spoken.

When your lips touch mine,

soft and moist

with delicate protection,

and your arms surround my being

holding, firmly

there's the unspoken Language

that only you and I interpret.

And just to lie together,

in warmth

in love,

with no words spoken,

that is the language of our love.
