Fall fashion trends 2008

Are you a slave to fashion? Keeping up with current fashion trends can be confusing at the least, exciting at the best, frustrating at the worst, or simply a fun excuse to shop! Fortunately, this Fall has fashion trends for 2008 that offer some great picks to go with almost any personal style. Here are some of the highlights we're seeing this season.

Warm Knits

It's getting COLD outside! And what could be more enticing than pulling on the soft comfort of a knit sweater or scarf to ward off the chill? Just because the thermometer dips doesn't have to mean letting go of fabulous fashion. Bundling up can be comfortable and chic when it comes to crocheted tights, oversize sweaters, and thick scarves. Go ahead and play! Play with textures and patterns for a look that is a unique reflection of YOU. Mix and match what you have with something new. Bulky sweaters go great paired with skinny jeans or tights. If you do choose a solid knit, find one with an oversized neckline and then play with the texture.

Touches of Metallic

Get ready to grab some attention this season with dazzling sheen. The runway has set the standard for adding touches of metallic to a solid outfit. From purses, shoes, and belts to hair embellishments, mettalic shine is making a bold statement. The ideas are almost endless. Spice up a little black dress with a silver belt. Pair a shiny scarf with sophisticated coat and tailored pants. Even a gold purse can make you stand out from the crowd. But be careful! The one rule of thumb when it comes to pulling this look together is NOT to over-do it. Always choose just one piece to shine and never mix the metallic hues. More than one will make your look overwhealming.

Assymmetrical Hemlines

Skirts are always flirty and fun- especially when you play up the hemline. Boost your confidence with a form-flattering assymmetrical skirt you can use day or night. We're currently finding them on long evening gowns for red carpet couture, above the knee on the street, and calf length in the office. Even holiday gatherings offer the perfect opportunity to pull out a fun hemline. These can go almost anywhere as a handy solution to last-minute plans.

Floral Prints

Flowers are a definate 'do' right now. From a single bold flower to a garden of bloom, this look is popping up in many popular lines this year. If you have yet to brave the look yourself, you might be pleasantly surprised by the variations. This is an easy way to incorporate color throughout the year. A single bold flower placed off the centerlline on a simple white dress is simply stunning! If you're not afraid to take it further, try pairing a print top with solid skirt, tights, and leather boots for an easy everyday look. Needless to say, floral fabrics are definately hitting the spotlight.

Bold Accessories

When you've got the hair, the shoes, and the perfect outfit, don't forget the final touch! To pull it all together takes the right accessories. The Fall runway debuts bigger, bolder adornments from head to toe. Fashion forward shoppers will know how to go big when it comes to bold accessories. Shop for dramatic, oversize rings, eye-catching bangles, and oversize necklaces. Pair nekclace strands that are mixed and matched to accentuate a low neckline. Pair dazzling earrings with an elegant dress. No outfit is complete without the finery, so don't leave home without it!

Being fashion conscious doesn't have to be difficult. With a little help from the experts, anyone can catch the current trends. And when this year promises to ward off the wintertime blues, there is more than one reason to give these looks a chance. Mix some new looks in with last year's buys, and get ready to step out in style.
