other's respected Democratic and Republican Conventions.

Obama visited Iowa several times. He visited Des Moines twice. His campaign promise of "Change" captured the distraught farmers and regular folk here. He succeeded when Senator Hillary Clinton and Edwards failed. He used his "inexperience" at politics to let Americans know the "real" Obama. He has little "experience" at lying and putting on a false image. His honesty and frequent willingness to debate his foes won my alliegance.

I watched he and McCain debate on MSNBC. I'm tired of hearing about the latter's military background and being a P.O.W. (prisoner of war) in Vietnam. America has military leadership with Bush and what has it reaped? We have a war in Iraq sucking the life out of our economy. We experienced unheard of gas hikes and price fixes as late as September 2008. However, gas dropped in Iowa from $3.49 prior to September to $1.97 now. The Republican incumbents have attempted to gain our votes with cheaper gas prices. But, they failed at giving us back our income.

I'm tired of hearing that Obama isn't ready for the challenge. Our country tried the "war thing". Over 5,000 dead, American soldiers and tens of thousands of Iraqi refugees changed little in the Middle East. McCain has no time to listen about a timetable to withdraw our troops. Obama has promised to extricate America from this foreign policy "sinkhole". McCain has to answer questions about bringing more businesses and revenue to the inner-cities, building better schools and hiring more qualified teachers to win my vote.

All political candidates have to hold press conferences so their voters get the "real" them. These press conferences shouldn't be rehearsed with one side getting easier questions than the other. If Sarah Palin has no idea what the "Bush Doctrine" represents, how qualified is this mother of five from Alaska who blasts at caribou?
