Unrealistic beliefs about clothing generally befall a fashion victim. You may adore a particular style in clothes; it does not necessarily mean you can wear that style properly. The fast track to becoming a fashion victim is often the result of people believing that one size fits all.
Consider Your Age
Don’t be dishonest with yourself about your age. It can lead to you wearing clothing designed with a youthful crowd in mind. Having a passion for neon green is one thing; wearing a blouse in that color could be a style disaster.
Low Rider Jeans
One of the most offensive clothing trends I have seen in decades is low rider pants and jeans. Sometimes these jeans look bad on a female with a stick figure. However, they look dreadful on a woman with an amble body. Worse yet, this style of pants come in a low, lower, and lowest rise.
I cannot make up my mind who looks more like a fashion victim in these so-called trendy jeans. Is it the waif-like female with nary an inch of hip to hold her pants up; or the fuller-figured woman with too much of everything showing above the pant waistline?
Moment of Truth
I have seen females young and old wearing this style of jeans. If they are ill-fitted to the body shape, it makes the wearer look more like a fashion fatality. In all honesty, I talked myself into believing I could wear these jeans.
I usually attempt to put on my low-rider jeans at least once a month. Within an hour, though, off they come, and right back into the closet they go…where they belong. These jeans are simply not for everyone.
Before choosing to wear low-rider jeans, talk to someone whose opinion you value. If they are kind enough to rescue you from wearing something that does not compliment your figure; heed their thoughtful advice.
Too Much Cleavage
Flaunting some cleavage is always in vogue. Consider the multitudes of women flocking to doctors to have, their breasts enlarged and enhanced with silicone implants. However, some tops are just plain sleazy and not appropriate attire, in particular, situations. Wearing low cut or too tight anything to the office is a style disaster. Doing so, you may risk the security of your job as well.
A degree of sophistication should be the rule when it comes to how much cleavage a woman should put on display. Do not be a fashion victim because every female in Hollywood has her implants hanging out of her dress. Leave something to the imagination. It is much more sophisticated to cover up a little than it is
