Reflections: Life coach

We all have an amazing amount of clutter that runs constantly through our minds are we run though our day. "I'm running late. What am I gonna do about dinner. Oh wow, can I pick the kids up at the time? I have a meeting! I hate my boss. Oh no, my hair looks horrible. My boss will think I look like a lazy person if my hair isn't in place. I should have stayed up later preparing for that meeting. I could be more prepared. I'm a loser!" The things we say to ourselves, we'd never say to another. We just couldn't be that mean, could we? I had heard Louise Hay speak on Oprah Winfrey's show about her book "You Can Heal Your Life", and I was intrigued. Did I really do these things? I decided to take note to be more aware of how I, in fact, interacted with myself.

I was on the way out the door and I found my inner dialogue going something like this "Darn it, I'm late to get to the nail place. I'll probably be the last person to get seen, and I am in a hurry! They move as slow as snails over at that place too! If I get that one REALLY slow girl, I'm gonna say something about it." Wait a minute, I told myself.whoa Nelly. What are you doing? There you go, setting up that negative experience for yourself. Good going Kash! I was doing exactly what Louise Hay had said was one of the first things we have to stop doing; stop that negative inner dialogue that's running amuck. It is her contention that if we change our way of speaking and thinking about things, then our life too will reflect that change. Our energy will regain a positive flow, and be more part of the Universe. If you follow her thinking, the universe is a mirror and reflects back the energy we vibrate. If we decide, for instance to continue to exhibit the very behavior I was exhibiting earlier as I was flying out the door late, my own doing, for the nail appointment, then I would have exactly that situation meeting me. I would be waiting a long time to be seen. I'd get the VERY nail technician that I did not want. I would be super late for my next errandso on.

Now had I decided to keep things more positive and decided that even though it was my fault I was late, everything would be fine. Somehow I would get it done in just enough time to make my next appointment. No problem. The technicians are great at my nail salon. If I thought this way, then I'd have a much better chance of experiencing that kind of reality. We are setting up our realities by the energy we vibrate. If that is the case, then being aware of what
