Poetry: Grace

Silence fills the air around
Peace descends within
Buried deep beneath the chaos
There's a new life to begin

Emotional exhaustion
Had first to take its place
So you may venture further down
To find this hope of grace

Within that grace you can discover
All you're meant to know
What meaning has this life you live
Which direction should you grow

Languishing in limbo
Has lent a heavy cost
Days and nights spent praying
That somehow you'd not be lost

But lost you are in chaos
Unable to clear the haze
Trapped inside an empty void
That can often last for days

Exhaustion will come to rescue you
No defense is left to fight
The grace within you couldn't reach
Is suddenly within your sight

Silence filled the air around
Chaos dissipates
Grace discovered deep within
A grace you've long awaited

A new life sits before you
You need only to reach out
And inwards too to find the grace
That life is all about
