Among the Snowflakes
On the snowflakes falling to the ground are
Crystalline petals, smooth and cold.
I know, deep within, we're just like them.
So cold, pure, and beautiful but I know
We'll melt and lose our charm in the heat.
Is this why we tend to go numb?
Avoid the heat of anger and the icy chill of pain -
Come with me to winter white and twirl upon the hills
With snowflakes falling gently down around you.
Then close your eyes and think and know
That to be a snowflake is truly something,
And to sing and dance among them is just as great.
