Aboard the plane, across the sky through the universe and worlds beyond mine, it's my imagination that's with me. I can go anywhere and be anyone.
Today, I have a very busy schedule. My planner is booked full. Breakfast with the Queen of England early in the morning. She's a good friend of mine you know. It's been a while since we've seen each other last. She always loves to hear my stories of travel and adventure. It's just too bad the visit won't last. I am very, very busy you see.
Before lunch but directly after tea, I close my eyes tight to locate my next destination. Under my daughter's bed, the monsters are calling me They're demanding a sit down, a talk, a growl. The monsters under the bed complain that they can't do their job. The princess now has a puppy dog that scares them away. I smile and politely give my apologies. They have officially been laid off. Their growls turn roars, but I'm not scared. In another world, I know all their parents, and if needed, I'll tell.
At lunch time, I'm due to meet with my favorit ninja princess, who's monsters I just met. Pink and purple are her favorite colors and has painted her castle so. You can't help but smile in this happy, cheery place. The sun is always shining and kids always playing. Icecream cakes, hot fudge sundeas with sprinkles and cherries on top, pizza, macaroni and cheese. All of her favorites are there, ready to eat. Stuffed full of food, she gives me a big hug and kiss. I still have a long way to travel for my dinner party and need to move quick.
The man in the moon has been waiting all day, all week for this. Tonight that giant pie in the sky is decorated in a kaleidoscope of colors, light gently shinning through. Greens, blues, reds, yellows and more. Depending on where your standing, you become a rainbow. How silly we all look. A band of fairies plays music for the man and his multi-colored guests. Any requests? Dragon is here, late as always, but bringing more friends. I even see the princess making her grand entrance in one of her most beautiful gowns.
The night's sky is made of birthday cake and every bite tasts different. With a gentle huff from Dragon, twinkling stars turn into magic candles to make a wish on. We all sing happy birthday to the man in the moon. He blows out his candles to make a giant wish and to give out some too. For shooting stars are a gift from the man in the moon, sent to you and me.
