Shadows
The shadows of the past dance within my mind
I see them in my eyes, I hear them all the time.
They crowd within my thoughts, they live within my heart
showing up agian are the pain and fear I fought.
Running didn't help, forgetting wasn't real
The shadows are in my hands in everything I feel.
They dance within my body pushing everyone away.
Their always here within me each and every day.
The tears that should have fallen, anger built a dam
The tension surely building, release I fear at hand.
The shadows are surely winning, I don't know what to do
To stop the dam from falling, letting the pain and anger through.

Shadows of the night
Somewhere in a distant dream,
stood two shadows of the night.
At the edge of split perception,
being bathed
Absent light
Stains on a wall
Take human form
But twist, Distort
They move and dance
But have no life
Hollow imposters
Shadows in the Night
Shadows haunting in the night.
Playing games in the moonlight.
Keeping all the shapes I see
Deep within
As I gaze into the light of night
Shadows emerge upon my sight
Some bring thoughts of sheer delight
Some are scary in gruesome

Shadow Tag - A Childhood Memory
Whispers of footsteps cross my grassy path,
As I kneel in the shadows in the full moonlight.
