Free Gas for your car
Even with the price of gas finally falling, the downturn in the economy is still making it painful to fill up our cars. Because we have spread out so much and no longer live close to our place of employment, having a mode of transportation is vital to still earn a living. For those of us that can not car pool or have access to public transportation, we still have to use our cars. So what is a person to do? Find ways to fill up your car for freeor close to it!
Earn your free gas
One way that is starting to become popular to earn free gas or even a flat out paycheck, is to become a driving advertisement. The company provides you with a car wrap, window sticker or magnet that you attach to your car and in exchange they send you money or a gas card. How easy is that? There are many different companies or directories that you can access to find out the information. ON website that may be of interest is:

Enter Contests
With gas being a much needed commodity these days, you are just as likely to find a raffle or a contest offering a chance to win free gas as you are to see cash being offered as the prize. Never pass up the chance to enter that contest, especially if there is no fee to enter. Even if you have to give them your contact information, you can always throw away or delete the unwanted mail they send you. But, if you never enter you will never have a chance at the prize.
Look for promotions
When gas looked like it was quickly heading to 5.00 a gallon, companies started using cheap or free gas as promotion to get people to buy from them. The most popular promotions came from car dealerships, if you buy a car you could get free gas for a year. Some promotions even promise gas at 1.99 a gallon or 2.99 a gallon for the next two years. While some of the promotions would be beneficial (especially the free or the 1.99 a gallon gas), some had too many restrictions to them. For example there was only a certain dollar amount in free gas that you could get each month or over the year. Also those that were promised the 2.99 a gallon are probably not very happy, now that the gas prices are falling almost as fast as they went up (gas in my hometown just dropped to 2.41 a gallon today).
Other companies such as grocery stores (Safeway), hotel chains and travel websites (hotel.com) got into the free gas promotions also. A great website to find more free or cheap gas promotions is http://www.freegasonly.com/ . This website offers a list of the different promotions that you can participate in to earn or win free gas.
