A Wish Never Granted
For every hour, my soul burns, For every failure, the fire churns, Inside the furnace, of self doubt, From Heavens eyes, to Hells mouth.
My voice calls, for angelic wings, For a golden life, the flight of kings, That i may conquer, and fathom at ease, The lore of life, filled with perplexities.
May my friends be plenty, without bribe or fee, May my feelings travel, beyond the sea, May my thoughts inspire, the hapless, the weak, May my resolve conspire, to banish the bleak.
Is it so much to ask, to bear a notion, To reach the summit, to cross the ocean, I beg and plead, to Lord and Life, To grant me counsel, and key advice.
Before my mind, abandons wit, Before my heart, loses its grit, Before my health, cannot replenish, Please my lord, grant me my wish.
