funny how you walked like a martyr, sometimes
suicide bomber you died for their cause
head down and scarred up you bled out for nothing
giving yourself up to their blind distresses and selfish black chaos
eyes open, you shone like the sun, only brighter

i get it; do you?)
our dark came together and tore out our eyes
our light came together and burned them white and blistered
blind
i think of blades and needles, bottles and you and wonder
where you went
are you ok?
blink for me once yes
twice no
breathe for me now
take that step
but don't jump
objects in mirror
are closer than they
feel.

And label me as
