I hope you never see a screecher
The most pitiful sight is he
A white coated baby seal
Not yet out on the open sea
Starved, abandoned pup
clinging to life by a thread
As he drags himself toward you
Innocent beauty almost dead
A labrador without legs
Helpless and forsaken
Unless to a sanctuary
This gentle soul is taken
