Hell

Is hell for real or is it just legendary lore,

Is it a wisp of nothing or what's in store?

Do we migrate into the pit or do we stay,

Do we endlessly wonder and never play?

Are we a vapor that is seldom seen,

Or are we a person all angry and mean?

Is hell a place that awaits a crowd,

And a place where pain is seen aloud?

Do we parish or do we exist,

Or do we dwell in a flaming mist?

Are we whole or are we in part,

Are we dead with no beating heart?

If it's real are we able to rejoice,

Or have we made a horrible choice?

Can we feel a human touch,

Or do we only mutter and such?

If hell is real and agony reaches high,

Is there a limit in time that we must cry?

Will it have an ending time and place,

Or will it be an endless tormented race?

I think it's real and a fiery sober pit,

And I just as soon not be a part of it.

I would rather be eternally free,

And not a part of a flaming sea.

So if I decide to go to heaven instead,

And eliminate all of hells fiery dread.

Then I must embrace God's only Best,

And in His loving arms I'll find eternal rest.
