Who won the third presidential debate, Obama or McCain?

McCain

by Jeanne Sones

I feel Senator McCain won the last debate hands down! He looked presidential, he talked presidential, and he acted presidential. He was confident, straight forward, honest and inspiring. To me Sentator McCain is one of the most inspiring individuals I have ever known. He is a war hero, he has been a POW and survived to talk about it. He admits he caved in under the pressure of pain and interrogation but he still loves the US who put him there in a war that has been considered a very controversial war, the war in Vietnam. Senator McCain has stood the test of time and I feel he should of been a President of the US a very long time ago. When most men would of given up on themselves and maybe even their country he stood strong and acted honorably. He even withstood torture so that other servicemen could go home, I don't know if I could of done so, knowing you would be put in unbearable pain and maybe even lose limb or life to stay in a prison as a war prisoner but then to be willing to say others deserve to go home before me, well its just too much to expect of a person in my opinion. Most people, almost all people in that situation would of justified going home by saying, "I deserve to go home as I've suffered enough, and no one deserves it anymore than I do as now I have injuries that won't ever heal and my arms and legs won't ever work right again and God knows what they will injure on my body next, they may take my arms off or my hands or maybe my head!" Who would of stayed in such a situation, I'm really not sure I could of, of course, I'm a woman but we have seen heoric acts by women too in the past such as this one, so I guess it just really tests the character of a man or woman when put in these horrific conditions. I would of been so scared I'd probably of wet myself everyday or died of a heartattach or stroke from fear. I don't like pain and not anyone does but we are talking torture, not just pain, and John McCan really "bit the bullet" on his POW actions. I'm very proud of him and during the third and final debate he was so calm, courteous, kind, and took notes, did you see him taking notes? What a man he is wanting to take advantage of every word and possibly be able to understand his opponent more later on when he read his notebook. I want this kind of courage in the White House this next four years. I don't care if they call him a Republican, a Democrat, or even a Liberal, I want John McCain for my President in 2008 through 2012. Some say he is too old, well I say he is not and shame on us for not having him in this office as President before now. We the people are definitely the losers as John McCain is first rate and top notch in every area in my book.
