There are, of course, many factors that come together in order to form a picture of a particular individual's productivity level, but many people really do underestimate the importance of attitude when it comes to the big picture. We often write our very own self-fulfilling prophecies when it comes to our lives whether we realize it or not. People who are always saying "I can't" usually don't and won't. However, those that square their shoulders, put on a smile, say "I can", and then soldier on are always the people who get the most done.

A happy outlook and a positive attitude also makes for a higher energy output when it comes to just about anything you want to do as well. Like most people out there, you've probably had your times in life during which you were mighty depressed or down, right? Very likely you had very little energy to draw upon when it came to getting things done that you wanted to do. It probably seemed like a major chore just to get out of bed in the morning. Forget about actually going to work and finding a way to smile about it! Negativity and depression are draining forces, and not just to you. They affect everyone and everything around you as well.

However, you've probably likewise had your days where you were on Cloud 9 because of something wonderful happening as well. Maybe you had recently fallen in love, gotten a raise, or stepped on the scale to discover your new diet's been working like a charm. Maybe you simply woke up on the right side of the bed, perfectly rested for once. Whatever the reason was, I bet you remember how easy it was to fly through the day and get an absolute mountain of things done as a result of the happiness you felt. With a smile on your face, every task not only seems surmountable, but it becomes exactly that simply through the power of a positive attitude.

As with negativity, positivity also attracts more of the same. When people are positive and happy, others automatically gravitate toward them, sometimes bringing assistance into the mix. In many cases, two sets of hands are better than one when it comes to getting a big job done, and three are even better than that. We all want to be around people that make us feel good just by being around and being themselves, and the better we feel, the more we naturally will want to do and accomplish. Attitude is contagious, after all! Putting a smile on your face starts a chain reaction in all the right directions, creating a true recipe for success all around.
