Money-saving tips: How to spend less money on magazine subscriptions

Magazines are great, it is just nowadays they can be as rough on the pocketbook as gas prices. There are a few ways though to get magazines for less. Everyone is familiar with the little card flying out of the magazine when you read the magazines in the grocery line. Those wonderful cards are revealing the greatly reduced price you will receive for purchasing a subscription. They are correct the subscription price is a drastic drop from the cover price. There are other ways to actually get magazine subscriptions for even less. I have found two great ways to get subscriptions for less. You might want to take a look and try one.

Logically, if you are just a single person who buys a magazine, you are going to take that magazine home with you. You are probably going to read the magazine in different places in your house, over the course of a day or week. The magazine may end up either on a shelf, with the hopes of one day referencing it, or you will recycle, or throw it away. I have always thought this quite a waste. This tip you probably already know of and might do, but I think it is worth getting out to those that might not do it yet. Just go to the bookstore or library and read the magazine there. You'll save on your own electricity, also the cost of the magazine, and you might meet someone, or make a business contact. It is simple just pick the magazine you want from the rack and then find a quiet spot and nestle in to read. Make notes if you want on a little piece of paper. The bookestores are so use to it now, there is nothing to be embarrassed about.

The next tip I have to, I stumbled upon. I use to fly a lot with delta and I racked up a lot of Sky miles. Now, I had the pleasure of going to Mexico for fifty-eight dollars this year, and I was left with seven thousand miles. You need at least thirty thousand miles to fly for fee or a low fee. I looked into what else I could get with my miles. Yes, I found that for five hundred to a thousand miles I could get free magazine subscriptions . The choice is a bit limited, but I was able to send two subscriptions to my mom, and I got Budget Travel for myself.

If you belong to any rewards programs, and are slumping at the idea of having to wait so long for a reward. Check out and see if you can redeem them for magazine subscriptions. My program was Delta Sky miles. It's a great way to save money on magazine subscriptions, and give a gift to someone you love.
