BLACK ROSES
Walking down the hall of mirrors
Lost in a maze of souls
Searching for truth and beauty
but the breath of life
Is only a cryptic riddle
dwelling in the shadows
Cast by the moon.
Too heavy is greed and deceit
upon the heart of man!
Yesterday's sunrise
Turns to sunset in a flash,
Without explanation
What once was,
Has now passed.
Eyes of sorrow
Cry the tears
of hope, violently swept away.
Crushed by the weight
Of a broken heart
Feels like the end of days.
The tears of angels fall
Silver and blue
because the scales of justice have broken!
Mother earth unleashes her fury
On the cradle of humanity so untrue.
Watching the rush of water over stones
Lost within a cosmic storm
Why are the roses afraid to bloom
in this garden of thorns?
the sky turns to blood
Revealing a sea of black roses
Shrouded in sorrow and darkness
Time has frozen!
Entombed in chambers of abysmal dark
waking to unearthly whispers and screams
Echoing down the halls of perdition
Where the presence of light is unknown
And love has never been at all.
It is here that fallen angels walk
On the shores of the sea
the sea of black roses.
Too soon, illusions of forever are over
beyond reason, another heart is broken.
And the tears of a broken heart
reach across centuries
Even beyond the grave
Creating the absolute mystery,
The completeness that we crave.

Poetry: Sorrow
I'm no longer me
It's like I've conformed into someone you would like me to be.
Or was I really happier before
Was it the weed?
Or
Sorrow Death and Grieving
A leaf and flower petal
Went floating in the breeze
A tiny little feather
Joined them in the trees

A hidden figure hides his face
People's gazes giving chase
His head is hung in deepest sorrow
It's there today and tomorrow

America's Hero
I knew that you would answer
Once you heard the call
Never did I imagine
That the towers, they would fall
Though sorrows well and flood like lunar tides
And evil settles in a sieging war;
My LORD, my strength, shall shield me on
