How to throw a football

Many sports require a ball such as soccer, baseball, golf, tennis and football. Some of these sports you kick while others you throw and hit. Focusing on football, it's not easy to throw a football but although anyone can throw one. It's just good or bad. Anyone can make a bad football throw but how do you make a good one?

A football is a oval like ball which has bumps on an edge of the ball. A good football is always sewn with leather. The football has what I like to call a grip. Many people have different styles of holding a football. Some like to hold it one way while others cannot understand this way.

By starting of, put your index finger on one side of the grip. You finger should lie between two bumps on the football except your index finger. You index finger should be before the bump. There should only be one bump touching your index finger. Moving along there is a pattern. Skip one then put your next finger on the next space between the two bumps.

Your throwing motion should come from the whole arm instead of the wrist. You also will need your body motion which you step forward as you throw the ball. Your target is nice and far and also in a straight line. What I mean by a straight line is the landing of the ball should be where you were facing when you were throwing the ball.

Try considering throwing with a partner which might help. Your target in this case is your partner. When you throw make sure you take a nice step in which will help your take off of the football. By putting the whole body motion as you throw the ball, the football will go straight and will land in where you want it to land.

If you find that throwing a football hurts your arm, then you are probably not doing it right. Throwing a football should not cost you any pain of any kind. If you are experiencing it, make a recap of where you went wrong.

This should give you a basic guide of how to make a good football throw.
