Is Your Job Worth Obama?
This article is not what you think! I'm not here to spew anti-Obama rhetoric. In fact, I'm so sick of hearing all the lies and half-truths coming out of the Media, that I could puke!
What I want you to concentrate on is one promise, and then run it to it's logical conclusion. The promise by Obama, " That only rich people are going to pay the bulk of taxes!"
Let's first define rich. Since Senator Obama is the only one in this election thinking about raising taxes on anybody, we have to use his definition. His definition of rich is anybody making $250,000.00 or more per year. ( At one point it was anyone making $200,000.00 or more.)
You would have to agree, that there are at least four categories of people in this country who fit that description:
1. Those who inherited multi-millions of dollars and could make $250,000.00 per year just leaving their money sit in a passbook savings account. But in reality are probably making much more by making shrewd investments.
2. Executives and presidents of massive corporations who get ridiculously inflated paychecks for doing "who knows what!"
3. Those people who have become wealthy by putting their own money, or money they borrowed at risk by starting and operating a business.
4. Politicians. (Yes, they fall into the "rich" category when you consider their salary + the "perks" many of them accept! Since they are the "law-makers, they make sure there are tax loopholes in the laws that allow them to keep more of what they earn, along with other rich people! Shhhhhhhhhh, it's a secret! Plus they have a healthcare plan that is far superior to yours! 100% of everything, medical, dental and eye insurance is paid for by tax payers! Plus they have a retirement plan that is far superior to Social Security! Even if they are only elected for one term in Congress, they get their full paycheck until they die and their widowed spouse gets it until they die! Pretty sweet deal huh?)
Guess which group pays the bulk of taxes and employs the most number of people like you and me? Yes, you guessed it, #3, "Those people who have become wealthy by putting their own money, or money, or borrowed money at risk by starting and operating a business!" I say "at risk," because it is a fact that over 90% of all new businesses fail! It's risky business to start your own business!
In spite of this scary statistic, small business owners are responsible for employing over 85% of wage earners in America. That means that millions of you Obama
