Is there a Diet Pill that works?
For those of us that wish to lose weight, but don't fancy running around like a loony in the gym, cringing everytime we look at a chocolate bar, or getting fed up by looking at lettuce leaves on our plate every day, we may turn to diet pills. However, with all of these so called miracle cures that have been proven do not work, is there a diet pill that works out there? Well, this is my journey, and I hope you have fun reading!
One "diet pill that works" that I want to mention is Laminaria Extract. Again, like thousands of others out there, both men and women, I typed into a internet search engine, "diet pill that works" and came acorss a web site that was talking about this miracle cure called Laminaria Extract. From what I could make out, from the clips in the forum that I read, it can help you to lose weight, as long as you do not change your normal diet pattern, but drink lots of water. It also claimed, from those that have used it, that you literally watch the weight falling off you in a matter of days. "Great," I thought, "finally, I have come across a diet pill that works!" I got my credit card out, paid about thirty pounds for three months supply, and waited. And waited. And waited. I'm not one hundred percent sure where they were being shipped from, but seeing as I live in the UK, and everything normally appears on my doorstep in a matter of days, two weeks later, when they had still not arrived, I was getting a tad shirty! After two and a half weeks, they arrived, and I had another peek on the internet, and others had reported the same sort of shipping times, in various parts of the world.
With your tablets, that come in a small sealed bag, you get a username and a password that you need in order to log on to the site and find out the correct doseage, which was one daily with breakfast. I took one pill every morning with my toast and cup of tea and waited. And waited. And waited. One month later, and I had put on weight. I was drinking lots of water, as it said, but I decided to up the water intake and ended up drinking so much water, I was on the toilet every fifteen minutes. I perservered, however, and two months later, I still hadn't lost any weight. I am not massively overweight, I just wanted to lose a stone or so, which, from the accounts that I read on the net, happened fairly quickly. Well, it never happened, and I kept fluctuating between 12 stone 5 and 12 stone 7. I upped the tablets to two per day with breakfast and continued this for two weeks and then I ran out of tablets. I hadn't lost any weight, and therefore gave up!
There are some queries on this particular forum, that the people that are responding to the Laminaria extract question in a positive way are not genuine. The forum will not allow you to sign up if you have a free email, so I couldn't sign up and post my experience. I am not sure whether I believe the quotes and promises that they have given for this product, and I would advise you not to either. Try it if you wish, but in my experience, it was the biggest waste of money that I have ever spent!
The next diet pill that works that I wish to talk about is Trim Secrets. Now, I tried this last year for about three months. I have a short attention span, and tend to bounce from one diet pill that works to another fairly quickly if I do not see results. Now, Trim Secrets is supported by a famous underwear model who's name I cannot remember, but who lost a lot of weight, apparently, due to this diet pill. It's more of a capsule that is completely herbal, and you have to take one, three times a day, fifteen minutes before you eat. Now, I hate diet pills like this as I can never remember to take the tablet if it requires more than one per day! Still, I kept it going and actually did remarkably well, considering. There is a diet plan contained within the tin that the tablets come in, requiring you to drink lots of water and to take part in a certain amount of exercise per day. I did all of this and I did lose a bit of weight, which stayed off for quite a while. However, I am not sure if I lose weight due to the tablets or because I was exercising and drinking lots of water, as I found myself on the loo quite a bit! Also, it contains caffeine, and I'm not sure if it was my mind playing tricks on me, but I found that I had trouble sleeping around the time that I was taking these tablets. This could just be a coincidence, however, and I cannot say for definate that it was a result of these pills.
Trim secrets are a diet pill that works, but whether that is because of the exercise I was doing, or because the diet pills are just great, and the good news is, they are not that expensive! From what I can remember, it worked out at about thirty pounds for a month, and you had to buy a months supply initially as they take that long to kick in. Each tine contains a two week supply, and occasionally they do special offers such as buy three and only pay for two etc.
One more diet pill that I wish to mention is one called Metabo. This comes in a thousand and one names from what I can work out, but I bought them from a very popular online auction site, and they cost around five to ten pounds for a months supply, making them a rather cheap diet pill that works! I took these tablets for around two months, and then forgot to purchase more, and again, need to be taken three times daily before meals. I kept this up, with the exception of the odd forgotten tablet, and the good news is, they are a diet pill that works. Or so I think. Again, I drank a fair bit of water, but did not do a lot of exercise. However, I was going through a rather difficult time in my life, so that could have been the cause of my weight loss. I tend to lose weight when I am stressed! I think though, that these diet pills actually worked, which is funny seeing as they are fairly cheap! What works for one person though, won't always work for others, so I guess it is just down to personal experience.
Clenbutemol is a diet pill that works and has been proven by many people, generally those in the public eye. It is increasingly popular with celebrities, but is incredibly dangerous. I haven't as yet, had the bcourage to try these, as not only are they VERY expensive, around one hundred pounds for a two month supply is just one price that I have found on the internet. I also believe they are illegal in the UK, which is where I live. They are originally medication for horses, and the doseage has to be very precise without causing some pretty serious side effects. A friend of mine has tried these and was on them for three months. She took half the recommended daily dose, and she looked so ill, it was unreal. She did lose an extraordinary amount of weight, but she had no energy whatsoever, and was permanantly grey looking! For that reason, I wouldn't try these. I'd love to be thin, but no if my health is going to pay the consquences!
At the end of the day, there are some diet pills that work, but some of them only work for a few people, and others will work for all. I have tried them all, from the two pound ones I bought in my local drug store, to green tea capsules and other herbal diet pills from health shops to those that I have bought from the internet. Some of them have worked, some of them haven't. I have a tendancy to not take them for very long though, and I get bored of having to remember to take a tablet fifteen minutes before I eat, so that's probably why many of mine have failed. If you do want to find a diet pill that works, and are adamant that this is the route that you wish to go down, be safe and sensible, and do not pay a small fortune for something that may not even work!
