Poetry: Leaving

by Giselle Rivera

Created on: October 25, 2008

I've left...

I know I have.

Hurring down the stairs

in a frantic speed,

hoping for a sigh of

RELIEF...

a sign of hope

of

life beyond this

I've left...

I know have.

Thrusting the bags,

shoving and making room,

"Anywhere but here!"

He sped.

I've left...

I thought I did...

as I sit here

with an empty bag

and

a sense of

Deja Vu.
