Remember When?
Do you remember when everything was new?
I remember,
I remember perfectly.
I remember all the times we laughed,
and boy did we laugh.
At stupid things and funny things,
confusing things and challenging things.
I remember falling asleep, waking up in your arms,
and knowing the safety of living in your eyes.
I remember being in love,
promising forever, promising forever, promising tonight,
and promising never only pleasure.
I also remember hurt, a pain before then unreal.
Looking into your eyes and living only through mine.
And at times like these,
I remember being in love,
I remember forever,
I remember tonight,
and I remember only pleasure.
But with every star I will see your eyes,
and with every angel I will see your face.
With every breeze I will feel your touch,
and every rain will be your embrace.
I know with time the pain will fade
and the hurt will be just a whisper in the wind,
but the memory of what we were
is embeded in who I am
and for that memory alone,
I will always remember when.

Saturday night, every week,
This is where we'd meet,
On this baron parking lot,
We'd live,love, and cheat.
Here we would

I woke up startled and afraid
of a pattering noise.
But I soon came to realize

I remember the house where I was born
With its paint peeling off and its screens all torn.
