Poetry: Growing old together

Never Forgotten Mom

Growing old together

was cut to short

when you was taken from us, we got hurt.

Growing old together

was our daily shine

until you got taken away from us it started from behind.

Growing old together

was all we had left to do

until that man came and sub-duded you.

Growing old together

will never happen now,

because on that Early August morning

that man strangled you while holding you down.

Growing old together

was all we ever wished for

now all those dreams are out the door.

Growing old together

you can now watch from above

we hope you can still feel our love.
