Giving your home a spring look is a refreshing way to bring the new season in with style. Traditionally, many people clean thoroughly during the spring months to prepare for the warm months ahead. Once you have gotten all the cobwebs knocked down and the furniture cleaned, why not take things one step farther?

Spring is the time for new beginnings. It is the time when things grow and bloom. It is the time to get moving again and to take hold of your creative flair. The best way to display the beauty of spring is to add simple personal touches to all areas of your home.

Grow a garden both inside and outside. A sure sign of spring is something blooming. Start plants in your windowsills and set out some nice arrangements outdoors after dangers of frost in your area have passed. Watching your progress will help get you in the mood for spring.

Flowers have many decorating possibilities. Fresh flowers grown in your own garden are a beautiful accent to any table. Pressed flowers make beautiful framed photos. Dried petals make a lovely scented potpourri. You can even twist together some daisies and drape them around window frames and other cheery places.

Wreaths are a welcoming part of spring. They can be made from a variety of materials and are a beautiful accent to the house. Berries, flowers, vines, nuts, seeds, nuts, and other natural ingredients make incredible wreaths that you will treasure for years to come.

Decorate your tablecloths, curtains, or simple throw pillows with a touch of spring elegance. You can use stencils to trace on a variety of floral symbols, or bright green blooming leaves. Use a variety of pale spring colors but don't be scared to let the color splash all over the place.

Using a washable paint that is compatible with your walls or furniture, you can draw simple spring accents or find adhesive stickers to place on areas you wish to decorate. This is a fun way to get kids involved. Make it a family project and begin a wonderful mural on the wall or a large canvas for the wall in your family room.

Pull up your big thick rugs and replace them with simple throw rugs. Make your area cozier and less full of big bulky winter items. Throw thin colorful Afghans and throw pillows around to give things a comfortable relaxing appeal.

Because people relate memories to scent, there are a lot of ways you can bring back the spring feelings you once had. Dab a little bit of scented floral body spray, cologne, or oil on your bulbs in your light fixtures and lamps. When the light gets warm, the scent is released making the atmosphere a scented paradise.

Use your interests to bring a creative touch to your home. Find things that appeal to you in the wide world of spring. Focus on the beauties you treasure and you will find a look that is right for you.

When it comes to decorating, remember that you are doing it for you. It is nice to have people compliment your color schemes and style but ultimately you are the one that has to live with it. Capture a spring look that you can't live without.
