Signs of someone falling in love

Love.
What is love? Wars have been declared over such a word. A thousand ships have been launched in its name. Empires collapsed. It is perhaps the most powerful word in the entire world, if not the whole universe.

Love is an emotion. It can be a very complex and confusing emotion. It is the type that can make you want to cry one minute and jump for joy the next. Why does love have such tremendous power over a person? Why does it have the power over life and death?

Once the pain of a broken heart escalates too much to handle, and the scars would run too deep to close and heal, the heartache would be too intense to cope with living anymore. so to save oneself from this terrible destiny, death is a welcome option. It is very sad when this happens. It is a tragedy for love, which in its perfect form is so beautiful, so wonderful, so ecstatic, so beyond words that each and every one of us should have the opportunity, at least once in our lifetime, to live the experience, to savour its taste.

Why do we fall in love? How do we fall in love? Can we control it? Can others control it for us? Why can't certain people seem to find love and end up living a life of total desperation, lacking that emotion which keeps us alive? Is finding love so easy for some and yet so very difficult for others?
Who are the lucky ones?

There are signs of someone falling in love. Falling in love is like getting a new lease on life. Things start to look different. Things start to look beautiful. Life becomes worth living. The birds seem to sing sweeter and the sun shines brighter. Waking up in the morning isn't as bad as it was before, mainly due to the fact that you wake up and start thinking about the one that has got as close as one can get to your heart. Your whole body is filled with a pleasantly strange warm glow that radiates to those around you. Every cell in your body vibrates uncontrollably. Walking on clouds becomes a possibility. You feel so high that it's almost possible to go on tiptoes and reach for the stars.
Yes, you have fallen in love.
It's something that takes over your entire being. The way you think changes totally. You start doing silly things. Illogical things. Things that you don't normally do. You look in the mirror to see if you are the same person you were before as you feel like somebody else. Somebody different. Somebody bigger and better.

Confusion reigns supreme. You tend to become jealous. You tend to become possessive. You tend to over-react. You find that you seem to cry for no apparent reason. So many tears have been shed in the name of love.
So many hearts have been broken that will never be put together again. It is perhaps the most painful emotion you will ever suffer in your whole life.

You start feeling scared. Scared that the one you love will leave you.
Scared that somebody better than you will come along and take the closest thing to your heart away from you, leaving you with a void that will never be filled again. A void that generates so much cold that you will never feel warm, ever again. Is all this pain necessary? Is all this heartache necessary?

Is it really better to love once and lose it rather than not having loved at all?
