I would like to post my response to the question as such: YES! YES! ONE MILLION TIMES, YES! Who created this fashion monstrosity? Please, please, please make it go away...along with women whose thong peeks out of their low-cut pants as well. I am all for fashion being individual, creative and even quirky, but this is just embarrassing. These guys do not just wear their pants low-waisted; they wear them halfway down their hips! At times they just barely cover their rear! Other times you cannot tell because the shirt they wear is about the length of a minidress but if they wear their shirt tucked in you can see where the pants come down to along with a view of their boxers. They look like little boys whose pants are falling down, I am sorry to say, it's ridiculous.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /

You do not have to wear a belt with your pants, whether you are a man or woman. But if your pants are coming down and your butt (covered or uncovered) is showing, then it's time to buckle up. Women this goes for you too....it's worse because with the thong we also see butt crack. If it's not acceptable for plumbers then it's not acceptable for the ladies-or anyone for that matter. Women can at least wear heels with these low-waisted pants and not have them looking slouchy and bunched up. Guys, this look is just unattractive and impractical. I'm surprised no one has tripped over their own pants!
My main concern though is how can parents teach their children how to dress properly? If they see older kids, teens, men and women with their clothes half off and everyone accepting it, then they will wonder why mom and dad are telling them to pull up their pants. Also, there is an attitude that goes along with this fashion statement. It's the typical, rebellious type of attitude that has been going on for generations: Disinterested, uncaring, disrespectful, tough, thug-like and defiant. Not all who don this sloppy garb don the attitude but for most they go hand-in-hand. Think: sloppy clothing equals sloppy attitude. Unfortunately, with the disgusting few, go a hygiene/grooming defiance as well. Stinky will NEVER be in style-remember grunge? You are not looking or smelling like teen spirit. It's more like looking and smelling like someone forgot to throw out the garbage. In fact, I think this fashion fad is the urban grunge. If men had a hard time picking up women before, then this definitely will not help them. With women, it's different. Men will pick them up but just to copulate with then leave before the coffee is brewed. Such a sad example for the future of our children's moral standards.
Like I stated in the first paragraph, I am all for dressing the way you want. But I feel that certain body parts....breast, butt, genitals....should be covered up as much as possible. I think the human body is beautiful but to me it's a decency issue...showing respect for yourself and others-having some dignity. I know in other countries there is a much more relaxed code of dress-some places you can walk around practically naked. If that sounds good to you, then go live in one of those countries. You are not being held against your will in this country. Yes, we have the Constitution and its states we have freedom of speech, dress, etc. But we also have laws and morals. Those were created way before the Constitution was created...or do we not want to go back that far for reference purposes? There's Dress to Impress, Dress for Success....how about Dress with Dignity? I think we owe it to our children to give them some of that.
