The nutritional role of prebiotics

Natural Sources of Prebiotic

The nutritional role is well documented , but when it comes to sources , I noticed that reference is always made to Inulin and that it is Natural ,

however we know that it comes from processing Chicory roots , but the literature seems to forget , perhaps deliberately

Gum Arabic(GA) (acacia senegal or acacia seyal) as prebiotic , in fact GA is the only natural source of Prebiotic , with 100% fermentable

So why the best source of Prebiotic is overlooked , we need an answer , is it because it was wrongly classified as additive coded by WHO/FAO as E414 , creating a monopolizing use by carbonated drinks /sugar candy producers , thus depriving

lifestyle disease patients from this most important prebiotic , it is the duty of scientist to make the public aware of this important prebiotic

Using GA as prebiotic bring other benefits ,in addition to curing and preventing lifestyle disease patients , these are fighting Poverty and fighting global warming .Almost all prebiotic in the market today are processed one and are widely publicized

, but GA is the only 100% natural unique product of nature ,but the current users of GA believe that any fresh use other than E414 use, will affect its price and availability , health use in particular , such as prebiotic , will surely push up its price to level unaffordable to current users , in addition it may threaten its availability , which in turn threaten availabilty of their famous carbonated drinks , sugar rich candy and wine industry

because there is no substitute additive for GA .The big users were behind most research

conducted to invent alternative processed prebiotic such as Inulin guar or larch tree fibre

The pharmacuetical industry benefits indirectly from this set up , because regular GA consumption

reduce the risk of getting lifestyle diseases , which shrink pharmacuetical drugs market , so any

so any supression of GA awareness is encouraged by these groups .However opportunities surely outway threats

In my opinion current use of GA is only helping the spread of Junk food and drugs , and the new health use as prebiotic will bring many smiles and cut down huge medical expenses . About 30% of world population are suffering from

constipation and GA are is now proven to be the only effective cure for it , so why not we join hands to

to high light these benefits and alway not to forget adding it to the list of Prebiotic sources .
