FOOD GIFTING
AHH... The gift of food. As the holidays approach, and with the economy way it is, the gift of food will be a welcome present to anyone on your gift list this holiday season. The trick is to be a smart shopper, and to be creative. If you follow a few simple steps, Food Gifting will be a gift that is both appreciated and admired.
Here we go. First, make sure the food gifts are relevant to the receiver.Reason out who is your Giftee, and the likes and dislikes (if you can) of the recipient. If you are not sure, and you are in need of a generic Food Gift, keep it general, like home made breads, muffins, and cookies.
A unique way to give the gift of home made breads, is to buy a few holiday or themed tea towels. Wrap each loaf of bread in the new tea towel, and tie it with a ribbon. The Giftee will be receiving two gifts in one. Suggestion, buy a few matching dish rags. Wrap your homemade muffins in each one, tie with a bow. Present the whole set in a gift basket. Add a few tea bags, holiday teaspoons, holiday napkins and plates, and woolah..you have created a thoughtful, unique, themed Gift basket ready to be given to an appreciative Giftee.
Another idea, Take your home made muffins, purchase a set of tea cups or mugs. Insert the muffin inside each cup or mug, wrap cellophane around it and top it off with a bow.Suggestion, place all items on a holiday tray, wrap with festive cellophane, tie with a big red bow. Guaranteed, you will be remembered for your thoughtful and creative gift.
These ideas are but a few of the inexpensive, gifts that can be made and given. These gifts are the most lasting of all, with spoon in hand, apron on, and mixers out! The Giver and the Giftee will both have that warm feeling in their hearts, because their home made gift was given and received from love and with care.
The dollar stores, discount centers, have great mugs, tea cups, cellophane, and ribbon, so the cost will be minimal. Let you imagination run wild. With these few tips, I am sure that the spark of creativity has been ignited. You will definitely enjoy and delight in the process of the Homemade Food Gifting Mania!
