Letter to my soldier
All the words I can not find
My eternal soul doth cry
Paper and pen can not hold
For love is to great
For distance and time
I stay steadfast
In love and strength
But in the still of night
For just a moment
As I look into her crib
A sleeping form of angelic innocence
I hear the giggles of a baby girl
You've never known
Suddenly the stars
Don't seem so romantic
But rather a tragic assembly
Of lovers souls
Hung in the balance of time
Separated for all eternity by space
